LOVE JIHAD

I do not believe a ‘Love Jihad’ agenda exists among Muslims to lure non-Muslim women to Islam. If ever such thing existed, it is against Islamic principles and those who perpetrate it are doing a great damage and disservice to Islam, that too at a time when even the entity of Muslims in India is facing a serious threat from Hindu fascists who have dominated Indian Administration. The fact is that Indian Muslims are not even able to resist the Hindu fascist agenda encouraging Hindu youths to either spoil or marry as much number of Muslim women as possible and a large number of Muslim women have married Hindus all over India violating Islamic principles which prohibit marriage of Muslim women to non-Muslims.

The ‘Love Jihad’ propaganda is one of the most disturbing tactics that has come to the limelight perpetrated by the hard line religious groups. In recent years, the Keralite society that was known to the seat of secularism among all states of India, have started witnessing visible signs of religious symbols in everything they do. For the Christian community, especially for those who joined hands with VHP, Sangh Parivar etc., please remember the Orissa Genocide committed by VHP. These are the same Hindus who butchered thousands of Sikhs in 1984. These Sangh Parivar stooges cannot be friendly or loyal with any community. They are using you and they already have an agenda to do away with minorities in India and this is a tricky part of that agenda.

The key problem in a state like Kerala is its political setup which does not recognize Industrialization and Job creation. There are few jobs and for employment, youngsters have to leave to Arab Nations in order to make and send money back home. Had the government concentrated on real issues of development, there would not have been a scope for radicalization or polarization of a tolerant society like Kerala. Today the society looks more or less at a cross road as to where to head from here. Since there is nothing much to happen, youths which are the strength of any society learn to lean to issues which may be irrelevant to many at a macro level. Thus it is not a surprise that many terror modules are surfacing from Kerala these days. And the trend surely would not go down, but up in a way which will have long lasting impact on the country as a whole. This is just the beginning. Its not hard to provide youngsters with money which may come from any channel. And this money combined with radical inputs of the providers is surely going to be a pain to the state. Only thing the state can do is use the Intelligence machinery to check and curb the influence of these kinds of things on one side and on the other create a good environment in which the youths can make a better living in its own state.

As we all remember, in the year 2007, thousands of tribals and Dalits converted to Buddhism at a massive gathering in Mumbai, marking the 50th year of Dr B. R. Ambedkar’s conversion to the religion to escape the rigid Hindu caste system. There were almost 100,000 Dalits and Tribals converted to Buddhism at that time and it was, definitely, one of the biggest mass conversions in modern Indian history. No Hindu or Christian religious leaders opposed to this move. They couldn’t even raise their voice. Probably the only reason this ‘Love jihad’ story is being propagated is because certain sections of society are getting alarmed at the rise in Non Muslim girls marrying Muslim males. More females than males are being attracted to Islam and its principles and therefore a Muslim male becomes more attractive as a life partner. Just because in one or two cases a converted woman married the wrong guy does not mean that all Indian girls are foolish to accept terrorists or terrorism.
